DNS Checker

Check any domain's DNS records, useful when setting up email, Google verification or a new website.

Queries go directly from your browser to Cloudflare's public DNS-over-HTTPS resolver (1.1.1.1).

Record types

  • A / AAAA: the IPv4 / IPv6 address a domain points to.
  • CNAME: an alias to another domain (common for www).
  • MX: mail servers, needed for Google Workspace or Zoho Mail.
  • TXT: verification codes, SPF and DMARC.
  • NS: who hosts your DNS (e.g. Cloudflare).
  • CAA: which authorities may issue SSL certificates.

Changed a record and don't see it yet? DNS changes can take up to the record's TTL to show everywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Where do lookups come from?

Your browser asks Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 resolver over encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS.

Why does my new record not show?

Resolvers cache records until the TTL expires. Check the NS records to make sure you edited DNS at the right provider.

How do I verify Google Search Console?

Add the TXT record Google gives you, then check the TXT type here.
