How to use the stopwatch
Press Start (or Space). Press Lap (or L) each time a lap or split ends.
Press Stop to pause, and Resume to carry on from the same time.
The lap table marks your fastest and slowest laps. Copy the times or download a CSV file, then Reset.
Example: three laps of a running track
Laps pressed at 01:02.48, 02:01.90, 03:04.15 give these lap times:
Lap 1: 01:02.48 (slowest)
Lap 2: 00:59.42 (fastest)
Lap 3: 01:02.25
Each lap time is the total at that press minus the total at the press before.
Ways to use it
Running and swimming: press Lap at the end of each lap or length to see whether you're keeping an even pace.
Speeches and presentations: press Lap at the end of each section to see which part runs long.
Experiments and practicals: record split times, then paste them into a spreadsheet to average them.

Frequently asked questions
How precise is the stopwatch?
It shows hundredths of a second and measures with your browser's high-resolution timer, so the count itself is accurate. The delay in your own finger pressing the button adds far more error than that, so for races use the same person and the same button each time.
Does it keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. It measures the time between presses rather than counting ticks, so the total is right when you come back, even if the display paused in the background.
How do I get my lap times into Excel or Google Sheets?
Press Download CSV and open the file, or press Copy lap times and paste: the columns are separated by tabs, so they land in separate cells.
